City Man Arrested On Trespassing & Traffic Charges

July 9th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

On Monday, July 9th, 2018 a Cumberland Police officer was on patrol in the area of W. Oldtown Road and Lamont Street when he observed a 2004 Dodge Neon make an illegal left turn.  The officer activated his emergency equipment to stop the vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle proceeded to travel east on Oldtown Road without stopping.  The driver eventually stopped in the area of Jane Frazier Village off of Memorial Avenue.  The driver was taken into custody and identified as Tyler Jay Hoover.  Hoover’s driver license was suspended and that was his reason for not stopping.  He was charged with driving on a suspended license, driving without a license, driver attempting to elude police by failing to stop, and failure to obey a traffic control device.  Hoover was also barred from Cumberland Housing Authority property and was charged with trespassing.  He was cited and released pending trial.

Tyler Jay Hoover, age; 29, Cumberland, Maryland.
