On Sunday, July 9, 2017, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Daniel McKinney. The warrant stemmed from a May 4, 2017 incident in which police responded to a Baltimore Street residence for an assault complaint. Upon the officers’ arrival, they contacted the victim who had sustained facial injuries. The victim reported that she had been assaulted by McKinney and another subject when they became enraged and started hitting her. McKinney had already fled from the area. An application for charges was filed against McKinney at the District Court and an arrest warrant was issued for McKinney. McKinney was located on Greene Street and arrested. McKinney is currently awaiting his initial hearing at the District Court Commissioner’s Office.
