City of Cumberland Announces Full Holiday Schedule of Events

November 20th, 2021 by WCBC Radio

The City of Cumberland and the Downtown Development Commission (DDC) will present a variety of events to spread holiday cheer and celebrate the season, including the Tree Lighting Ceremony, Breakfast with Santa and the New Year’s Celebration. Join us on Friday, November 26 beginning at 6:00 PM as Mayor Raymond Morriss and special guests host our favorite holiday tradition, the Annual Tree Lighting, on the Downtown Mall. There will be open houses, shopping, dining and entertainment. The “Shop Small Win Big” contest will take place beginning on Small
Business Saturday, November 27 through December 19. Shoppers who purchase from small businesses during these dates will be eligible to win VISA gift cards in weekly drawings. This is a great way to support the local businesses that have been impacted so heavily this year. Two free hours of downtown parking will be offered from Thanksgiving through the end of the year.
Breakfast with Santa kicks off on Saturday, November 27 and takes place
every Saturday through December 18. Reservations are required, please
check visitcumberland.org for locations and times.
The final event of the year takes place on Friday, December 31 from
10:30 p.m. to midnight. Join your friends on the Downtown Mall for the
Annual Ball Drop and Fireworks spectacular.
