City of Cumberland to End 2016 Fiscally Stable

After approving some end of the year budget transfers- it appears as though the city of Cumberland will end the year with a relatively stable fiscal picture. Back in July, despite the fiscal challenges facing the city, the council approved a budget that included no rate increases in the $40 million 2016-2017 operating budget. City Administrator Jeff Rhodes briefed the council during this week’s regular meeting of what he called a few “house keeping” measures related to the budget needing approval before the end of the year…
