FROSTBURG, MD – The City of Frostburg is hosting the 1st annual Big Tree Contest. The winner will be announced during the City's Arbor Day Celebration on Wednesday, April 3 at Beall Elementary. Residents of Frostburg are encouraged to nominate a tree; whomever nominates the largest tree in Frostburg will be awarded a $50 gift card to a Frostburg Small Business of their choice.
To nominate a big tree, complete the nomination form which can be found online at www.frostburgcity.org or on the City's Facebook page. Information required includes the location of the tree and estimated tree diameter at chest height. Tree species should be provided, if known. The tree must be located within the City limits of Frostburg for consideration and trees located on private property must be nominated by landowner or tenant. Complete nomination forms can be dropped off at City Hall or emailed to Elizabeth Stahlman at estahlman@frostburgcity.org.
