In an effort to further crack down on blighted properties and strengthen the city’s laws pertaining to housing conditions- the Cumberland Mayor and City Council approved the first reading of an ordinance this week to expand regulations in that area. The official wording refers to allowing the city greater latitude in addressing “unsightly exterior property conditions”.
