City Police Arrest Pair On Breaking & Enter Charges

On Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 the Cumberland Police, after receiving a complaint of individuals squatting at a Marion Street address, respond to the residence.  When officer arrived, Deron Michael Elbin and Timothy Walter King were found inside.  Contact was made to the property owner who confirmed that no one should have be in or on the property.  Both Elbin and King were arrested and transported to the Cumberland City Police Station.  Elbin later told officers that he forced his way into the residence and then invited King inside.  Elbin was later taken before the District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held on a $5,000 bond.  King was cited and released.

 

Deron Michael Elbin, age; 43, Cumberland, Maryland.

Charges:  Burglary 4th degree and trespassing.

Held on $5,000.

 

Timothy Walter King, age; 32, Cumberland, Maryland.

Charge:  Trespassing.

Cited and released.
