May 6th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

Late Friday morning, a Cumberland Police officer was on foot patrol in the area of Mechanic and Pear Streets when he noticed two men acting in a suspicious manner.

While the officer was speaking with 53 year old Brian Johnson, he dropped a baggie with suspected narcotic pills, and was also found to be in possession of enough marijuana to indicate distribution.

He was held on $7500 bond.

Saturday morning at around 3:30 AM, Cumberland Police spotted a suspicious vehicle near Union and Park Streets.

When the officer turned his vehicle to investigate, the car was no longer there. It was later found near Estelle Street, and in a nearby wooded area found 36 year old Jeffrey King, of Idlewylde, Maryland.

He was charged with Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct.
