July 28th, 2017 by WCBC Radio

Thursday morning at approximately 6:50 a.m., officers from the Cumberland Police Department received information that several wanted people were located at a S. Central Avenue residence. Officers arrived and received permission to enter the residence to look for a missing juvenile.  While searching the residence officers located two subjects hiding in the attic of the residence.  McClave Cleland Combs III and Cassandra Ann Baker were found hiding in insulation.  Officers were familiar with both subjects and knew that both had active arrest warrants.   The juvenile was also located and returned to the custody of her parents. Combs and Baker were transported to Police Headquarters for processing.  Combs was wanted in connection with a July 8, 2017 robbery investigation that occurred on Cecelia Street.  It was reported that Combs stolen a purse from a woman while walking in the area.   Baker was wanted on a failure to appear warrant from Circuit Court.  Combs was transported to District Court where he was held without bond.  Baker was held on a $100.00 bond after her hearing in District Court.
