On Sunday, February 18, 2018 at approximately 5:17 PM, officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 300 block of Grand Avenue in reference to a male subject displaying a handgun. Dispatch advised that the caller reported that the subject was in the company of a female and another male.  Officers arrived on scene and observed the described subjects sitting on the steps of a residence.  The subjects were ordered to show their hands and to not move.  All subjects initially complied with the orders; however, one of the males, later identified as Keyontray Fisher, lowered his hands and fled on foot.  Officers pursued Fisher at this time.  As one of the officers was chasing Fisher, he observed Fisher pull out a handgun.  Fisher then slipped and fell to the ground.  As he was falling, he threw the handgun under a parked vehicle.  Officers closed in on Fisher and he put his hands in the air and surrendered prior to being taken into custody by officers.  Fisher was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine and heroin in an amount indicating intent to distribute.  Fisher also had in his possession over $1,000 U.S. currency.  Fisher was arrested and processed.  He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and held at the Allegany County Detention Center without bail.
