City Police Make Saturday Arrests

SUMMONS SERVICE

On Saturday February 1, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Chris Kaylor, age 27 of Cumberland.  The charges in this matter resulted from a Theft investigation handled by Cumberland City Police Officers on January 31, 2014 at a Camden Avenue residence.  Investigation revealed that while Kaylor was visiting the victim, he allegedly stole a quantity of jewelry from her residence.  The jewelry was eventually recovered by officers.  Kaylor was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGES:  Theft Less than $1,000.00, Theft Scheme Less than $1,000.00, Theft Less than $100.00.

SUMMONS SERVICE

On Saturday February 1, 2014, Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on William Taylor, age 47 of Cumberland.  The charges in this matter were filed by a private citizen who alleged that on January 31, 2014, Taylor went to a residence on Wills Creek Avenue and became disruptive by yelling at individuals who were at the residence.  Taylor also had a baseball bat and was displaying it as if he was going to use it on the individuals.  Taylor left prior to the Officer’s arrival.  Taylor was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGES:  Disturbing the Peace (2 counts), Assault 2nd Degree.
