City Police Make Trespassing & CDS Arrests

On Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 a Cumberland City Police Officer was on patrol in the area of Queen City Drive when he observed a subject walking on the CSX railroad tracks.  The officer contacted the male identified as Wesley Clinton Wills of Frostburg.  The CSX railroad tracks are clearly marked with no trespassing signs.  Wills was issued a criminal citation for trespassing on posted property and released pending.

 

Wesley Clinton Wills, age; 23, Frostburg, Maryland.

Charge:  Trespassing posted property.

Cited and released.

 

CDS Arrest

 

On Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 a Cumberland City Police Officer on patrol observed and stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation in the area of Front Street.  When contacting the driver, identified as Skyler Stone Atkinson, the officer noticed the odor of marihuana coming from inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle found a quantity of hydrocodone, a scheduled narcotic that Atkinson did not have a prescription for.  He was arrested and transported to the Cumberland City Police Station for processing. Atkinson was later taken before the District Court Commissioner for a bond review and was released on his own personal recognizance pending trial.

Charge:  CDS possession not marihuana.
