City Police Report from Saturday and Sunday Morning

Disorderly Arrest

 

On Saturday, July 20th, the Cumberland Police Department responded to Uncle Jack’s on N. Centre Street in reference to an intoxicated male refusing the premises.  When officers arrived, contact was made with the bartender who stated that she had to ask the male, later identified as Tristen Boyd Bruce, to leave the bar because he was causing intoxicated and causing problems.  Bruce refused to leave and the police were called.  Officers then made contact with Bruce who was warned several times about

creating a disturbance and told to leave the area.  Bruce continued to create a disturbance in the presence of officers and didn’t leave as direct.  He was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace and failure to obey a lawful order.  Bruce was issued  criminal citations and released pending trial.

Hindering/Disorderly Arrest

 

On Sunday, July 21st, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 100 block of Arch Street for a several individuals in a disturbance.  When officers arrived, numerous people were observed to be in a loud argument in the street and on the sidewalk.  Officers told the group to leave the area and to stop creating a disturbance.  One male, identified as Treyvon Lamar Rideout, continued to cause probems in front of officers and refused to leave.  Rideout also hindered the officers’ investigation by telling others not to cooperate with the police.  After several warnings, Rideout was arrested for obstructing and hindering, disorderly conduct, and failure to obey a lawful order.  He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and released on a $1,000 unsecured bond pending trial.
