City Police Serve Bench Warrant & Make Disturbance Arrest

On Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Paul David Gower Jr.  The warrant was issued by District Court when Gower failed to appear for trial on April 3rd, 2019 for an assault charge.  He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held on a $1,000 bond.

Disturbance Arrest

 

On Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department responded to 113 E. Offutt Street for a disturbance complaint.  When officers arrived, contact was made with a male who was observed by police yelling loudly at a female.  The officers identified the male as Jeremy Allen Tasker.  Officers also spoke with a witness in the area who stated that Tasker and the female were heard arguing loudly throughout the evening disturbing neighbors.  Tasker was issued a citation for disturbing the peace and released at the scene pending trial.
