City Police Serve Criminal Summons

On Wednesday November 8, 2017, Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on David Bernauer, age 34 of Cumberland, Maryland.  The summons was issued as a result of a theft investigation handled by the patrol division where investigation revealed that Bernauer along with an accomplice allegedly stole a quantity of electronic and household items from the victims Mechanic Street residence between the dates of October 18th and 20th, 2017.  Bernauer was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.  The other suspect in this case has been previously charged and served.

Criminal Summons Served             

On February 15, 2016 Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Kelsey Jo Connors, age 22 of Cumberland, Maryland.  On January 6, 2016 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 514 Bedford Street for a domestic disturbance.  As a result of the investigation the victim in this matter applied for charges at District Court resulting in a criminal summons being issued.  Connors was served with the criminal summons and later released pending her trial date in District Court.

Arrested: Kelsey Jo Connors                                             Age: 22 of Cumberland, Maryland

Charge: 2nd Degree Assault 
 

Criminal Summons Served

On February 15, 2016 Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Joshua Michael Clark, age 21 of Cumberland, Maryland.   On December 11, 2015 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to the area of Elm Street near Williams Street in reference to a theft that occurred on Maryland Avenue.   Officers were able to make contact with the victim who advised officers that Joshua Clark walked up to her while she was sitting on the porch, and stole her cell phone that she was holding in her hand.  Clark then fled on foot towards his Elm Street residence.  Clark was later contacted by the officers and admitted to taking the phone.  The phone was later returned to the owner but it was damaged beyond repair.   As a result of this incident charges were applied for at District Court resulting in a criminal summons being issued.  Clark was served with the summons and released pending his trial date in District Court.

Arrested: Joshua Michael Clark                                    Age: 21 of Cumberland, Maryland

Charges: Theft less than $100, Malicious Destruction of Property and 2nd Degree Assault.
