City Police Serve Criminal Summons on Hit and Run

On Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Antionette Ebony Dixon from Suffolk, Virginia.  The summons was issued when application was made to District Court in reference to a hit and run accident that occurred back on December 31st, 2017 in the 100 block of Bedford Street.  On this date, the Cumberland City Police responded to Bedford Street for the report of a vehicle that had collided with a stop sign and another parked vehicle.  When officers arrived, they found the vehicle was unoccupied and the driver could not be located.  A check of the vehicle’s registration showed the vehicle in question belonged to Dixon who was later contacted and admitted to officers that she was driving the vehicle when it slid off the roadway striking the stop sign and another vehicle  She signed and received her copies of the charging documents and was released pending trial at District Court.  

 

Antionette Ebony Dixon, age; 23, Suffolk, Virginia.

Charges:  Failure of vehicle driver to stop after unattended property damage accident and failure of vehicle driver to furnish required written ID information on unattended damaged property.

Criminal summons served.
