The Cumberland City Police Department served arrest warrants on the following: 

 

Christopher Adam Johnston, 31 of Cumberland, MD

Charges: Reckless Endangerment (2counts), and Neglect of a minor

Charges stemmed from incidents that occurred on July 4^th and July 12^th on Bedford Street where a minor in the care of Johnston was found outside unattended.  Johnston was taken before a District Court Commissioner and released pending trial in District Court.

 

Vanessa Lynn Becker, age 33 of Cumberland, MD

Charges: Reckless Endangerment (2counts), and Neglect of a minor

Charges stemmed from incidents that occurred on July 4^th and July 12^th on Bedford Street where a minor in the care of Becker was found outside unattended.  Becker was taken before a District Court Commissioner and released pending trial in District Court.

 

Douglas Wayne Black, age 50 of Cumberland, MD

Charge: Theft under $1,000.00

Charges stemmed from a June 21^st incident where property was stolen from a Greene Street residence.  Black was taken before a District Court Commissioner and held on a temporary commitment.
