City Police Serves Criminal Summons & Makes Burglary Arrest

On Wednesday, June 5th, 2019 a criminal summons was served on Sarah Elaine Holderby, 29, of Cumberland MD. The summons was in reference to an incident filed on May 21st, 2019, alleging that Holderby has failed to send her child to school on multiple occasions. Holderby was served the summons and released, pending trial.

Arrested: Sarah Elaine Holderby       Age:  29

Charges: Fail to send child to school.

 

***Adult Arrest***

On Thursday, June 6th, 2019, at 1205am, The Cumberland City Police responded to an abandoned home in the 200 block of Cecelia St. Officers had received an anonymous tip that a subject was sleeping inside the vacant home and did not have permission to be on the property. Upon officer’s arrival on scene, they located a male inside the property. He was identified as Perry Nelson Hamilton Jr, age 38, of Cumberland MD. As a result, Hamilton was placed under arrest and taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance. He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center where he is being held without bond.
