The Cumberland Times News reports a city woman was sentenced recently in Allegany County Circuit Court after she pleaded guilty to a charge of obtaining medical records by deception, according to court documents. Paula Louise Wolfe, 69, entered a plea of guilty to the misdemeanor charge when she appeared recently before Judge W. Timothy Finan. A companion charge of medical records disclosure violation was nol prossed.

Judge Finan sentenced Wolfe to a jail term of 90 days, which was suspended. She was also ordered to be placed on supervised probation for five years, complete 50 hours of community service and pay court costs and restitution.

The charges reportedly stemmed from a C3I investigation into alleged offenses that occurred sometime between May 3, 2018, and April 3, 2019.

The case was prosecuted by the Office of the State's Attorney. Wolfe was represented by Cumberland attorney David J. Hare.
