Comments made by Allegany County’s Director of Economic Development Jeff Barclay in Tuesday’s Cumberland Times News caught County Commissioners Jake Shade and Creade Brodie Jr by surprise. Barclay called the decision last week by the commissioners to move forward with an economic development strategic plan pre-mature, pointing to a number of other studies already in various stages being conducted. Brodie said he thinks there is some confusion about the time frame of the new study- which he says wouldn’t begin until some of the other current studies have concluded…
