Commissioner Candidates Asked About Public School Funding

Should the Allegany County Commissioners spend more on public schools? That issue was discussed at Monday evening's candidate forum by WCBC Radio. Incumbent Jake Shade said the county has been of great help to public schools beyond maintenance of effort funding.

Challenger Michale Leptic says more funding for schools is necessary

Incumbent Creade Brodie said that increases above maintenance of effort are unlikely.

Challenger Steve Wollett said more programs are needed to help students.

Dave Caporale discussed the need for work force development.
