The Allegany County Board of Commissioners received some strong criticism last week with a number of citizens, via emails, accusing county officials of not taking a more proactive leadership role in addressing the recent surge in COVID-19 cases. The letters, read into the record during the county business meeting, blasted members for not implementing tighter restrictions, not enforcing the restrictions that are in place, and setting a poor example by being seen on many occasions at events not wearing masks.
