The Allegany County Commissioners last week voted 2-1 to adopt the CBIZ Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act CheckPoint Dashboard Services. According to Brian Westfall, the county’s Director of Human Resources and Personnel Services, the program will minimize the county’s compliance risk in meeting many of new requirements resulting from President Obama’s Affordable Care Act. Part of the program developing tracking methods for part time employees. All three commissioners, Bill Valentine, Creade Brodie Jr. and Jake Shade are republicans and they did not mask their frustration in having to agree to what is essentially a federal mandate…
