Local business leaders recently had a question and answer session with Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot.

Franchot said he still has concerns about the timing of the increase, but thinks the bill that was signed into law was better than the one that was proposed due to efforts of House and Senate committees.
Franchot made his comments earlier this month to members of the Greater Cumberland Committee.
