As a follow up response to a WCBC inquiry regarding the status of Cassie Coinklin on the staff of Sixth District Congressman David Trone, the representatives office issued the following statement:
"As a result of our full and comprehensive investigation, the staff member in question is no longer working for our office — in any capacity.
"We believe that those in public service, both elected and support staff, must hold themselves to the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
"We will continue to uphold that value.
"We sincerely thank Frostburg State University’s Student Government Association and Administration for their courage and cooperation throughout this process."
The sponkesperson for the FSU Student Governoment Association and NAACP has accused Conklin of being behind a Twitter Account which is alleged to to have racially harrass an SGA presidential candidate.
