The Allegany County Commissioners last week issued a request for proposals for an economic development strategic plan- and County Administrator Brandon Butler discussed the concept Tuesday. While there have been economic development plans in place for years- the goal this time is to retain an outside consultant to prepare a long range cohesive strategy to better enhance economic opportunities.
