County Animal Shelter Management Foundation Makes Bond Request

December 6th, 2013 by WCBC Radio

The Allegany County Commissioners received just one formal request from a local group seeking state bond money for a project- that being the County Animal Shelter Management Foundation. The Foundation made a $250,000 bond request to help fund construction of a new animal shelter. In the past the commissioners have received other requests, most notably in recent years from the Allegany Museum and Friends Aware.  Delegate Leroy Myers asked Commissioners President Mike McKay if the county would prioritize the list of capital requests to the delegation should other requests come in later..
