County Conducts First Public Meeting To Solicit Input On New Economic Development Plan

On Tuesday, Allegany County officials conducted the first of two public meetings to solicit input on a new economic development plan for the region.  The county has contracted Thomas P. Miller & Associates, an Indianapolis-based consulting firm, to conduct a detailed strategic plan for economic growth in the area. Part of the process includes input from the general public. Tuesday’s session was held at the county office complex, while a second is scheduled for today at the Lyric Building, 20 E. Main St., Frostburg.  County Commissioners President Jake Shade said the goal is to have a detailed, strategic plan developed to map out the county’s future economic development opportunities……
