County Could Be Penalized Because BoE Late In Completing Audit

The Allegany County Board of Education is more than six months late in completing its annual audit- and as a result the county could be penalized. Allegany County Finance Director Jason Bennett tells WCBC News that the county cannot complete its audit until it has the completed school board audit- thus the delay is a cause of concern at this point…

    Another shining example of the hard working men and women of the Allegany County Board of Education.
    I anticipate, after the next Board meeting, the finger pointing and name calling as to who is responsible and who is blameless.
    This seems to be an example of gross neglect of duty and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that the Ethics Panel is asked to give a ruling.
