In an effort to avoid further potential issues with state and federal funding partners- the Allegany County Commissioners Thursday delivered a stern warning to the Board of Education Thursday: have this year’s audit complete by November 1 or face some consequences. The board’s audit, which was due to the county October of last year- was not submitted until two weeks ago- a full ten months late.
