County dispatchers have new contract

August 25th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

A new contract for 911 dispatchers includes no pay increases but does provide for — among other things — a stress evaluation for employees in the high-pressure jobs.

The Cumberland Times News reports the document was signed at the Allegany County commission meeting Thursday evening.

Jim Bestpitch of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees shook the hands of county commissioners and County Administrator David Eberly as all parties lined up to sign the contract.

Also signing for the union were Katie L. Dunson and Carrie S. Hughes.
