County Ready for Friday Reopening

As of 5 p.m. this afternoon – Maryland’s stay-at-home-order is officially lifted- and Allegany County officials are say they are more than ready to see the re-opening of the economy begin.  Pointing to a two trend of COVID-19 numbers trending in the right direction, Governor Larry Hogan announced plans to move into Phase One of the  “Maryland Strong: Roadmap to Recovery” plan. Hogan  has encouraged local leaders to make the decisions that are best for their areas when it comes to any plans for reopening the state.  Allegany County Commissioners President Jake Shade participated in a conference call with the governor earlier this week.
