Allegany County Government announced today the release of a request for proposals for the development of property located off of Laurelhurst Boulevard on US Route 220 South, also known as "Cumberland Chase."
The Board of County Commissioners unanimously authorized the County's Department of Economic and Community Development to release the request for proposals at its April 26, 2018 public meeting. The property is located adjacent to the Barton Business Park, which is the home to American Woodmark Corporation and is also within close proximity to Orbital ATK and IBM.
The County's development goal for the site includes maximizing the site's best development potential and contributing to the success of the area with a well-designed, potentially mixed-use development that bill bring employees, residents, customers, hospitality guest and/or visitors into the area.
Responsive proposals are due to the County by July 10, 2018. Interested parties can review the proposal on the County's website (alleganygov.org) by clicking on the "Bids & Awards" tab.
