County Residents Could See Tax Increase With Combining Of EMS Services

As talks continue between the city of Cumberland and Allegany County toward combining Emergency Medical/Ambulance services- City Administrator Jeff Rhodes cautions that while there will be savings- county residents may be asked to pay more in taxes.  The county is discussing the idea of taking over the city’s EMS and the new program is expected to be in place prior to FY 2019…
