Cox Says There Is Always Room For Improvement When It Comes To School Security

Allegany County Superintendent of Schools Dr David Cox said that while he believes county schools are essentially safe for students- the ultimate goal remains placing a resource officer in every school in the system. Estimated price tag for an additional 13 officers, to join the 8 already in place, according to Cox would be about $1.5 million. The school board has approached the county commissioners seeking help in securing those funds. Cox says that while he is confident with the security in place at this time, there is always room for improvement…
