CPD Make Assault Arrest And Serve Arrest Warrants

On Sunday, May 8, 2016 at approximately 2:39 PM Cumberland Police Officers responded to the area of Shriver Avenue for a reported domestic assault.  Upon arrival Officers heard a male and female yelling from inside the residence.  After speaking to both parties involved, it was discovered that the male and female had been arguing all day.  The male, Grant Lee, left the residence through the back door.   The victim shut and locked the door behind him.  As she locked the door Lee began to try and enter the door.  He could not enter as the door was locked so Lee kicked the door and broke the door frame.  The door frame then struck the victim on the top of the head.  The victim sustained a cut to her forehead which was bleeding.  The victim refused medical treatment.  Grant Lee was placed under arrest for domestic assault and was transported to the Cumberland Police Department.  He was charged, processed and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office.  He was then released on his personal recognizance, pending trial in District Court.

Charge: Second degree assault

Tiffany L. Newcomb, age 29, Cumberland, MD

Charge: Failure to Appear in court for the original charge of Theft: less than $1,000

Held on $1,500 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Arrested:

Terri L. Kasecamp, age 43, Cumberland, MD

Charge: Failure to Appear in court for the original charge of failing to have Animal Vaccinated for Rabies

Held on $500 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
