CPD Make Trespassing Arrest & Serve Bench Warrant

On Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 2:42 PM, Cumberland Police responded to a residence at Jane Frazier Village for a report of a possible burglary in progress.  When  an officer arrived on scene, a female subject,  identified as Bianca Murphy, was seen entering the apartment.  The officer was familiar with Murphy and was aware that she had an active arrest warrant and was not allowed to be on the property. Murphy then fled the residence through the rear door to the apartment.  Officers were able to stop Murphy and take her into custody.  The arrest warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred on March 6, 2016.  Officers from the Cumberland Police Department had responded to a residence at Jane Frazier Village for a noise complaint.   Officers investigated the complaint and later filed charges on the suspect, Murphy, at the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office.  An arrest warrant was issued for Trespassing, Disorderly Conduct, and Disturbing the Peace.   Murphy was placed under arrest and processed.  Murphy was issued a criminal citation for trespassing.  She was also served with the warrant and taken to the District Court Commissioner’s Office where she was released on her own personal recognizance.

BENCH WARRANT SERVED

On March 15, 2016, officers from the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Stephanie Barb.  The warrant was issued for Barb failing to appear at District Court of Allegany County on March 4, 2016.  Barb was originally charged with Disturbing the Peace.  Officers located Barb at her Grand Avenue address.  She was placed under arrest and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a temporary commitment.
