CPD Makes Counterfeiting & Disturbance Arrests

On Sunday, January 19th, 2020 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Eric Thomas Brown for counterfeiting and theft.  The charges are from an incident on December 11th, 2019 when Brown purchased a gift card at the CVS Pharmacy on Baltimore Street using counterfeit currency.  He signed and received copies of the charging documents and was released pending trial at District Court.

Disturbance Arrest

On Monday, January 20th, 2020 the Cumberland Police Department arrested and charged Michael Wayne Bergman for disturbing the peace and failure to obey a lawful order.  Bergman has been responsible for numerous disruptive complaints called into the police by residents in the Boone Street area.  He was issued criminal citations and released pending trial at District Court.
