On May 6^th, 2018 the Cumberland Police served an arrest warrant on Brian Edward House, age 30, of Cumberland, MD.  The warrant was a result of an incident that occurred in December, 2017 where House had violated a Protective Order.  A warrant was issued charging House with Violation of a Protective Order and Harassment.  House was arrested, taken before the District Court Commissioner.  He was released on his own personal recognizance.

Drug Arrest

On  May 7^th, 2018 an officer with the Cumberland Police Department initiated a traffic for a speeding violation.  Upon making contact with the operator of the vehicle, the officer became suspicious of the operator actions.  He requested a Police K-9 to the scene.  The K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle.  Based on a probable cause search of the vehicle, suboxone was recovered.  Claire Elizabeth Vallano, age 26 of Frostburg, MD was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.  She was transported to the Cumberland Police Station where she was processed and taken before the District Court Commissioner.  Vallano was released on her personal recognizance.
