CPD Respond To Theft & Burglary

On October 18, 2016 at approximately 9:10 AM the Cumberland Police responded to a business in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue in reference to a shoplifting complaint.  Investigation revealed Tabitha Ann Yonker was seen by employees placing items in her purse.  The items were located on Yonker and returned to the business.  While recovering the stolen items police located suspected CDS paraphernalia.  Yonker was placed under arrest and taken to the Cumberland Police Department where she was issued criminal citations for Theft Less Than $1000 and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.  She was released pending trial in District Court.

Arrested: 

Tabitha Ann Yonker, Jr., age 39, Cumberland, MD

 

Charges:  Theft Less Than $1000 and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.

 

Burglary Arrest

On October 18, 2016 Cumberland Police were called to a York Place address for a reported disturbance.  After arriving at the scene it was determined that the suspect, Shameka Toney, entered the residence without permission and began arguing with the occupants.  During the argument Toney allegedly assaulted three different people inside the residence.  None of the victims had visible injuries or needed treatment.  Toney was still inside the residence upon the Officers arrival.  After conducting the investigation, Toney was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Cumberland Police Department where she was charged and processed.  She was then taken before the Allegany County District Court Commissioner where she was released on her own recognizance.

Charges: Burglary: Fourth Degree, Disorderly Conduct and Assault: Second Degree (3 counts)
