CPD Responds To Shoplifting Complaint

On June 5, 2016 the Cumberland Police responded to a business on Queen City Drive in reference to a shoplifting complaint.  Upon arrival police learned an employee at the business observed a male subject, Corey James Calderwood, place items in his backpack and attempt to leave the store without paying for them.  As he was trying to leave the store the employee confronted Calderwood and the police were called.  Several items from the business were found on Calderwood.  The items were returned to the business and Calderwood was placed under arrest.  He was taken to the police department where he was issued a criminal citation for Theft Under $100.  He was released pending trial in District Court.

Charges:  Theft Under $100
