On April 18, 2018 Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Charles Robert Bauman 2nd, age 46 of Cumberland, Maryland. On April 17th officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 7 Virginia Avenue for a reported assault. During an investigation into the matter, officers were informed by the victim that Bauman struck him in the face with a wooden cane. Officers at the time of the incident directed the victim to District Court for charges in this matter. Charges were applied for resulting in a summons being issued.
