CPD Serves Bench Warrant And Criminal Summons

On Sunday November 3, 2019, the Cumberland Police served a Bench Warrant on Jamar Peck, age 22 of Cumberland, Maryland.  The Warrant stemmed from Peck failing to appear in District Court on October 7, 2019, for the charges of malicious destruction of property less than $1000, and disorderly conduct.   Peck was a later provided his Initial Appearance hearing in District Court and released on a $1500 unsecured bond. 

On Sunday November 3, 2019, the Cumberland Police served a Criminal Summons on Tammy Spiker, age 38 of Cumberland, Maryland.  The Summons stemmed from an October 31, 2019 theft investigation.  On the aforementioned date, Cumberland Police were dispatched to a Queen City Drive business for a theft.  During the investigation, officers learned that Spiker had stolen items from the victim’s purse at the business and then fled the area. Subsequently, charges were applied for in District Court on Spiker and a Summons was issued charging her with theft $100 to under $1500.  Spiker was served with the Criminal Summons and released pending trial in District Court.
