CPD Serves Criminal Summons For Assault Charges

On Wednesday, June 20th, 2018 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Dennis Leo Landis Jr for assault.  The summons was issued by District Court when an application was filed with the Commissioner’s Office alleging that June 1st, 2018,  Landis was upset with the complainant for calling Allegany County Animal Control about his dog running at large in a residential building on Baltimore Avenue.  According to the report, Landis pushed the complainant against a wall trying to get to his to his dog which was in the Animal Control Officer’s custody.  He signed and received his copies of the charging documents and was released pending trial.

 

Dennis Leo Landis Jr, age; 27, Cumberland, Maryland.

Charges:  Assault 2nd degree.
