Crash Near 220 South Knocks Out Power

On Sunday at 1 am, troopers from the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack responded to a single motor vehicle collision on 21st Bridge Road just off McMullen Hwy, in McCoole.  Upon investigation, it was revealed that a 2012 Ford Mustang driven by Thomas F. Clark, 54, of New Creek WV, was traveling on 21st Bridge Rd when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with an electric pole.  The pole was broken causing power outages in the area.  Potomac Edison responded to repair the damage and restore power.  EMS and Fire were alerted and responded to the scene.  Clark refused medical treatment. The investigation determined that Clark was driving under the influence of alcohol.  Clark was arrested and charged with DUI.
