Cumberland Police Dept served a criminal summons on Penny Hope-Lynn Marshall, 26yoa of Cumberland. The summons was a result of an investigation on 09/18/12 in which Officers from the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the 200 blk of E Harrison St in reference to an assault. Upon arrival officers interviewed the victim who stated that an argument ensued which then became physical. The victim sustained injuries consistent with her account of the incident which did not require medical attention. Marshall had left the scene prior to Officers arrival and a check of the area for her was made with negative results. The officer applied for charges through the District Court for Assault Second Degree which resulted in the Criminal Summons being issued. Marshall was served with the Summons and released pending her next court appearance at District Court.
