On Sunday December 4, 2016, at 5:20 am, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a private residence in the 400 block of Columbia Street for a reported assault. Contact was made with the victim who advised that her husband Brent Salesky, age 32 had pushed choked and spat on her as he pinned her on a couch. The victim was able break away as she ran upstairs and locked herself in a bedroom. Salesky kicked in the door and proceeded to choke her with both hands. The victim broke free, grabbed her cell phone and called the police. Salesky was found in the area of Bond Street and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was processed and served. Salesky was held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

CHARGES: Assault First Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment.
