Cumberland Man Arrested For Arson Threats

On March 19, 2019, the Cumberland Police served an Arrest Warrant on Damien Snead, age 29, of Cumberland, MD.  The Warrant stemmed from a February 18, 2019 complaint into an arson threat made at a business on Virginia Avenue.  Officers investigating the incident spoke to employees who advised that an unknown male entered the business extremely upset.  While in the business the male suspect threatened to burn the business down and created a disturbance. Officers through their investigation were able to identify the male as Damien Snead.  Subsequently, officers applied for charges on Snead and charges were issued for arson threat and disorderly conduct.  Snead was served with the Arrest Warrant and taken to District Court for his Initial Appearance.  At the conclusion of his hearing, he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
