Cumberland Man Arrested on Theft Charges

On Thursday, February 1st, 2018 a Cumberland City Police Officer was patrolling the Greene Street area when he observed a male chasing after another male.  The officer was able to get both males to stop and learned that one of the males was an employee of the Dollar General and he was attempting to catch the other male who had just shoplifted from the store.  The male in question was identified by the officer as Christopher Lee Kaylor.  Kaylor was found to have several items in his possession that was property of Dollar General that he had not paid for.  He was also found to be in possession of a straw and burnt spoon which the officer was able to identify as suspected CDS paraphernalia.  Kaylor was arrested and transported to the Cumberland City Police Station

where he was issued 2 criminal citations and released pending trial.

Charges:  Theft less than $100, and CDS possession of paraphernalia.

Criminal citations issued.

On Wednesday June 21, 2017 at 9:36 pm, Cumberland City Police officers responded to a business on Virginia Avenue for a reported Theft.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Raymond Foley, age 57 of Cumberland was observed taking store owned items and attempted to leave the premises.  Officers arrived and placed criminally cited Foley for Theft.  He was released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE:  Theft less than $100.00.
