Cumberland Man Charged with Protective Order Violation

February 15th, 2021 by WCBC Radio

On Sunday, February 14th, 2021 the Cumberland Police Department responded to a Maryland residence for the report of a breaking and entering.  The caller also stated he had a protective order against the male that had broken into his house.  When officers arrived, they spoke with the caller who told officers that he had an active protective order against Jonathan Orville Weinberger and he had broke into his residence.  Officers located Weinberger and confirmed that the protective order was still active out of New Jersey.  He was arrested and charged with violating a protective order.  Weinberger was not charged with breaking and entering because officers determined that he actually lived with the caller.  He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond pending trial at District Court.

Jonathan Orville Weinberger, age; 31, Cumberland, Maryland.
